All you need is LOVE {and headbands}!

It’s the season of LOVE, and I have to admit…I am getting in the mood…okay, well maybe not that mood, but in the mood for Valentines. Maybe it is because I am mom now, and like to decorate in the season, or maybe I am having so much fun with some of the valentine crafts, nonetheless, I am in LOVE with all things LOVE!

So in honor of this season of LOVE,  I must showcase some of my Valentines headbands I made, including a beautiful pink rhinestone headband used by Christina Hendrick Photography during some very sweet Valentine photo sessions. The kids are some of the sweetest!

Here are just a few of my Valentine’s headbands. I started making these for a couple of my charities, but I have so much fun making them, I can’t stop! I can do any made to order. So fun and cheeky! You can check out my Etsy Shop to view more.

And finally…check out these AMAZING Valentine photos from Christina Hendrick Photography. She is amazing! Not only is she a fantastic photographer, she is a darn great designer. She created the Desert Child, Desert Momma logos, design, business cards, you name it. Love her! Check out the pink rhinestone headband, yup, that is a Desert Child headband!

Eat Pesticides, or Buy Organic?

Have you ever wondered how much pesticides are on the produce you buy for your family?

I sure have! I know that is not always possible to buy 100% organic, but if you must pick and choose which produce you buy organic over ones you do not….then I’ve got the info for you.

EWG’s (Environmental Working groups) Shopper’s Guide to pesticides say,“The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s produce tests have found widespread pesticide contamination on popular fruits and vegetables.  At least one pesticide was found on 63 percent of the samples analyzed for the Shopper’s Guide.  Ten percent of those samples had five or more different pesticide residues”. -F.A.Q’s from EWG’s website.

So what that above statement tells me, is basically every time my toddler eats her favorite fruits and vegetables every day, she is eating pestisides….not good! And I am not happy about that.
